Cross Country Runs With Alpha Gamma Delta

Gainesville, GA - On March 26th, the Brenau University Cross Country Team assisted the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority with their first annual 5k race. This event was held in the efforts to raise money for the Brenau Chapter. The team took time out of their weekend to aid the sorority in tasks, such as: course set-up, timing of the race, and managing of the course while the event was in progress. The Cross Country Team has helped with a number of races, over the past few years; so, the sorority found their assistance invaluable.

With the combined efforts of the sorority and the Cross Country Team, Alpha Gamma Delta's first annual 5k race was a success! After holding this event, Alpha Gamma
Delta was awarded "Jewel Status", in fundraising. Jewel Status is given to sorority chapters that have risen over $2,000, over the course of the school year; this is the first time, in many years, that this particular chapter has been honored with this status.
