Cross Country Competes At Sand Shark Invitational

In a strong field of both NCAA and NAIA teams, the Brenau cross country team finished 19th out of 37 teams at the Sand Shark Invitational in Beaufort, South Carolina on Saturday.
Senior Brittany Aikens led the Golden Tigers with a 39th overall finish out of 347 runners with a time of 19:09. Jasmine Ray finished 60th overall in 19:27, while freshman Kaitlyn Gearing placed 117th with a personal record of 20:31.
Other finishers include Brianna Archer (21:02), who also set a personal record, Ismaelle Occeus (21:32), Sarah Saenz (21:33) and Monika Nwajei (21:43).
Brenau next runs at the Southern States Athletic Conference meet on November 8th in Jackson, Mississippi.
