Cross Country Races at UNG Invitational

The Brenau cross country team placed eleventh in a highly competitive field at the University of North Georgia Invitational in Dahlonega, Ga. on Saturday.

The team ran a total time of 1:55.37 and had an average individual time of 23:08.

Michelle Velazquez placed 30^th overall with a time of 21:16, while Nia Griffin finished in 55^th place in 22:42.

Other Golden Tiger finishers include Monika Nwajei (23:04/59^th place), Anazjah Mayes (24:13/68^th place), Giovanna Sifontes (24:22/69^th place), Elizabeth Lowe (26:01/81^st place) and Ayana Daniels (27:20/89^th place).

SCAD-Atlanta won the meet with a team time of 1:33.51, while host University of North Georgia placed second in 1:37.03. SCAD-Savannah, Piedmont (Ga.) and Reinhardt (Ga.) rounded out the top five.

Brenau next runs at the Piedmont College XC Invitational in Waleska, Ga. on October 8^th.
