Cross Country Races At Berry Invitational
The Brenau cross country team competed at the Berry Invitational meet on Saturday in Mt. Berry, Georgia.
In the 6K event, the squad posted a team total of 28:46.49 and an overall time of 2:23:52 against a highly competitive field.
Freshman Bianca Braz had a strong day with a 31st overall finish out of 212 runners. The Kennedale, Texas native posted an overall time of 25:31.64 to pace the Golden Tigers.
Sophomore Sydney Romine ran well with a time of 28:12.06, while Elizabeth Lowe ran 29:09.80 in the meet.
Other finishers include Harley Stephens (30:01.79), Giovanna Sifontes (30:57.13), Keri Ashworth (33:49.82) and Kanyisola Anjorin (36:02.99).
The meet finished out the 2017 regular season for the squad, which now looks ahead to the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships on November 4th in Waleska, Georgia.
