Cross Country Places Seventh at UNG Invitational
The Brenau cross country team placed seventh at the Sixth Annual UNG Cross Country Invitational hosted by the University of North Georgia at Gainesville on Saturday.
Shannon Hoolahan continued her strong freshman campaign with a 22nd overall finish out of 107 competitors in the 6K event. Hoolahan ran a time of 24:58.47 and finished as the highest NAIA runner among a very talented field. Fellow freshman Zoie Gardner placed 39th overall in 26:07.04, while Bianca Orr added a 50th place finish in 26:35.39.
Other Brenau finishers include Nia Griffin (80th place/29:22.23), Juliette Rios (86th place/30:05.19) and Felicia Gordon (106th place/50:03.64).
The Golden Tigers set a total team time of 2:17:08 and an average race time of 27:25.
Brenau next competes at the Koala Classic Invitational hosted by Columbia College on October 6th in Columbia, South Carolina.
