Cross Country Competes at Queens Invitational
Charlotte, North Carolina- In a highly competitive field, the Brenau cross country team had a solid showing at the Queens Invitational on Saturday.
The Golden Tigers posted a total time of 1:50.38 and an average individual time of 22:07 to place 45th in an event that featured over 500 runners and 63 teams from all levels of collegiate competition.
Rachel Boulineau led the team with a time of 19:46, while Shannon Hoolahan was the Golden Tigers' second place finisher in 20:18.
Other Golden Tiger finishers include Bianca Orr (21:59), Kayland Thomason (22:29), Giovanna Sifontes (26:04), Keren Kapwadi (26:23), Jayda Burkett (27:04) and Paola Benitez-Hernandez (32:18).
Lee (Tenn.) University led all teams with a total team time of 1:29.25, while Wofford's Hannah Steelman was the individual champion with a time of 16:48.
The squad now looks ahead to the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships on November 2nd in Canton, Ga.
