Cross Country Competes at the AAC Challenge
Knoxville, Tennessee- The Brenau cross country team placed 15th at the 2024 AAC Challenge at Sequoyah Park this past weekend. The squad raced to a total team time of 1:45.13 as the squad placed fourth out of AAC teams.
Sophomore Averie Akin paced the Golden Tigers with a 40th place finish out of 190 runners in a time of 19:07, while senior Kamille Dixon placed 45th in 19:11. Other Brenau finishers include sophomore Victoria Woods 20:34 (90th place), Junior Gladys Blanco Choque 22:54 (148th place), freshman Re'yanna Ellis-Pickett 23:24 (156th place) and junior Paloma Resendiz-Perez 23:34 (159th place).
AAC opponent Milligan (Tenn.) won the team title with a total time of 1:29.32, while Montreat freshman Heather Murphy won the individual title in a time of 17:18.
Brenau next competes at the 2024 AAC Conference Meet on November 8th.
