Bio
Katie Dant is in her second year as the head cross country coach and her 4th year as assistant track and field coach at Brenau University.
During her time at Brenau, Dant has nearly doubled the cross country roster and coached Averie Akin, a three-time NAIA National qualifier, and Kamille Dixon, also an NAIA National Qualifier. Under Dant's leadership, Akin and Dixon have set school records in the 4k, 5k, 6k, and 800m.
Previous to coming to Brenau, Dant served as the head boys and girls cross country coach at Springwood School in Lanett, Ala. for 2 seasons. During this time she also worked as a fitness instructor, leading cardio-based group fitness classes at a private gym in West Point, GA.
