Softball Defeats #2 Bryan; Advances to take on #6 Tennessee Wesleyan

Kingsport, Tennessee- The Brenau softball team continued its strong play by defeating the #2 seed Bryan (Tenn.) College at the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) softball championships on Tuesday.
Freshman starter Emily Hall continued her strong tournament play by keeping the Lions (29-12 overall) in check, while all-conference performers Dayton Power and Ava Moon powered the offense to victory.
Power went 3-4 with 2 RBIs and Moon posted 2 hits in the win. Fellow All-AAC performers Peyton Hawkins and Whitney Hulsey each added an RBI, while junior Allie Busbee also drove in a run.
Hall pitched another complete game and allowed only two runs to help her team advance to the quarterfinals.
Brenau (31-14 overall, 18-10 AAC) continues through the bracket and will face #6 Tennessee Wesleyan (24-10 overall) on Wednesday at 5 pm.
